Thank you to each and every one of you for the outpouring of love and prayers after my last post. It would be unfair to publish all the sadness and not recognize the absolute good that are God’s people.

There is such a deep, satisfying joy in being a member of this beautiful family that reaches beyond last names and countries and languages. I marvel at God’s wisdom in creating a fellowship not just individually with Him and not just with a group in a local church, but also as an enormous family of Christ followers who find pleasure in bearing one another’s burdens.

Perhaps that is one of the most wonderful things about trials. There have been many times when I have felt awfully Job-like, sitting there with ashes on my head and a bunch of scorners pointing their corrupt, hypocritical fingers at my broken soul. But it never takes long for the Lord to lift our chins, to whisper hope in our ears, to pour balm into our souls through the love of one of His children.

So thank you. Thank you to each one who prayed, for each one who made phone calls, for each one who made trips to pharmacies and doctor offices. Just for me. I am incredibly humbled.

God be with you and bless you and keep you virus free!
